Specific Multi FX

My current modulation only multi FX is a Source Audio Orbital Modulator. My only problem with it (bit of a killer though) is that it only has two total presets, though they're available at all times to access.

Basically I need something that has at least two available at one time, but can store multiple FX. I've looked at the TC electronic NM-1 (doesn't look like you can footswitch between banks or each effect) and Line 6 MM4 (according to multiple reviews, has bad volume fluctuation and footswitch issues). Unless I'm missing something with the NM-1, any other options? Remember, I'm looking for modulation-only multi FX (I already now about the Boss ME and digitech RP series). My budget is $200-300 New so I can be cheap and grab it for under $200 used.

Re: Specific Multi FX

You could try the Zoom MS-70 CDR. It can do 6 effects simultaneously and you can change patches on it using the switch on the pedal. However, within the 6 pedals you setup, you can only turn one of them on or off using the switch on the pedal. Take a look at some videos, you'll see what I mean.

Alternatively, you could go for the Zoom G3 or G5. They have individual switches to control individual effects but have distortion and amp models also, unlike the MS-70 CDR. The G3 can do 6 effects at once but you can only view 3 of them at once. The G5 can do 9 with 4 or 5 effects available to turn on or off at one time. All of them are within your price range.

Again, take a look at some videos. They will explain them a lot better than I have.

I need the ability to access at least 2 effects a t one time, so I'll leave the MS-70 cdr for now. G5 looks more like something I'd grab. How would you compare the G5 to the RP500 in terms of effect qualities?

I'm quite easily satisfied when it comes to effects. For example, a DS-1 is good enough for me, whereas others absolutely hate it. That being said, I prefer the G5 because of the visual interface. The effects on both work well enough for me. Hopefully someone else can give you a better answer.
