Speed knobs for one meg pots....

Are you sure the issue is with the value of the pots, and not the style? Did you perhaps move between split shaft and solid shaft pots?

Good question, I tried to move the original volume knobs, the silver stock ESP/LTD ones, on the shafts and they don't fit, I've got some old gibson speed knobs and I'm not having luck with these either....
The pots are the standard dimarzio one megs, push pull, but I don't have them set up for push pull, I figured maybe someone here has some experience with them,

Maybe try pinching the tips together a smidge?

If they are split shaft pots with splines ... The Dimarzios are made by CTS, I think, so they are probably fine spline (24 splines). The ones you removed are probably coarse splined (16 spline I think). They have two types of knobs to accommodate the different spline count. One or the other will fit. Compare the splines on the new pots with the ones you removed to see for sure if you need fine or coarse spline knobs. It should be easy enough to see the difference.
