Sperzel tuner troubles

well now I can get the string through the tuner hole all of a sudden.....the piece inside is stuck to the top ...WTF?
love em ...never had a problem till today

I'm not familar with Sperzels, but I do use Schallers. Im wondering: is that stuck piece the one that's supposed to come down when you tighten the wheel?

oh, the trim lock type... ive used those and havent had an issue.

The little ball piece that clamps onto the string does get stuck on occassion. A gentle bump from a scrap of string or other pointed tool should knock it loose
