spin-a-split or jimmy page config

hi ,

i bought a sd sh-5 and sh-2 for my ginson les paul stdt.
now , i have to put them , and i ask myself, what kind of schematic could be the best:
-the jimmy page one, with 2 split for each humbucker,1 split for serei-parallel, and one for phase-out phase.

i think it is a complete set up , but i am not sure that all this possibilities are really usefull

-the spin-a-split: in this case i will "sacrifise " one tone and one volume to keep a master volume, a master tone and 2 spin-a-split for each humbuckers.
the spin-a-split proceess can give me lot of versatility (if it works fine,i don't know if it is a good update)
in this case i will do it with a 500k knob , the original gibson one

i will be very happy to have your user or specialist opinion

thanx

Re: spin-a-split or jimmy page config

You're going to have to try both of them and see what you personally like i reckon.

I tried the spin a split, and didnt like it - There wasnt enough 'in-between-ness' - It acted similar to a switch for me. I will probably come back to it down the track though, and try to make it work....its a potentially good idea!

The current wiring on my dual humbucker strat is like this:

* Both pickups have their own on/on/on switch, giving series/split/parrallel
* Then to a 5 way (super)switch which gives me the choice of Neck, N+B in series, N+B in parallel, N+B in series out of phase, Bridge.
* Then to master vol. and TBX tone pot (bass or treble cut)

A lot of sounds in there.....and i doubt i will use half of them......but i just HAD to try it!!!

Give the spin a split a go first, and see how you like it

Good luck
