Spin a split question (using concentric pots)

Hey everyone, especially Artie ;) Since my Stagemaster has a very particular pickup with very different coils, I was thinking about replacing the single 500K volume with concentric pots (500K as well) and use it for a spin a split. From what I gathered it's entirely possible but I'd like a quick confirmation please?
Also if I understand correctly, a spin a split just allows the control of each coils individually right? So when both are full on, I just get the full humbucker sound, and when both down, nothing, and when either coil is dialled at 0, I get a standard split? Thanks guys.

A concentric pot is just two independent pots where the shaft of one happens to travel through the center of the other. They're completely usable as two separate pots.

Spin-a-split doesn't control both coils so much. It just dials-out the screw coil. Or you might say "fades" to the stud coil. If you use two pots to SAS to both coils, you could achieve that affect.

I've had this idea also:

I can't remember if I've ever tried it, but its a simple way to fade to either coil using one pot. Maybe I should try it. :)

So I'd need to use a concentric 1meg linear taper pot then right? Then I'd have individual control over each coils?

If you're going to use concentric pots, then I'd go with 500k. They'll combine together to make 1 meg. Let me know if you need a pic. ;)

I'm alright. Thanks a lot dude! As usual, you're the man! Well the good one at least. The Man is not good. But yeah. I'll try that someday. Thanks!
