splice shrink sleeving

With Dimarzio pups, the white and black are always wired together. I fortunate enough to find a Dimarzio diagram, and it has has the B&W wires running to a splice shrink sleeving. Now if a person doesnt have a few SSS layin around, whats a good alternative? or can the B&W wires be wired to somethin else to compensate?

Re: splice shrink sleeving

I just use some electrical type or something non-conductive.

Re: splice shrink sleeving

So all you do is TAPE the black and white wires together to the bottom of the pickguard w/ electrical tape? Whats even the purpose of having the black and white wires? :laugh2: Believe me, Im not complaining, The easier the better. :)

Re: splice shrink sleeving

I don't know anything about Dimarzio pups - so if I say something stupid - sorry.

Is "splice shrink sleeving" the same thing as "heat shrink tubing"? If so, you can get that at Radio Shack or Loews or Home Depot. Electrical tape would work, too. But heat shrink won't unravel down the road.

As for the two wires - Is it a humbucker? Are they the common from two separate coils? Just wondering...
