splitting pups in a piezo guitar

hi! eor has just come up on a schecter c1 e/a, with a jb and a jazz in it, as well as a piezo in the bridge. is it still possible to split the pups? it is a hollow body guitar, so i want to be cautious. can the piezo and split pups still be blended?

also, can i get a y cable and use both the piezos and the pups in the same amp?

Yes, assuming the pickups are 4 conductor. IIRC, stock C-1 A/Es come with Duncan Designed pups.

Assuming they are 4 conductor, the easiest way to do it would be to add DPDT push pull pots to split the bucker. The piezzo is on a dedicated switch with a blend pot, right? If that's the case, you would split the humbuckers like you would in any other guitar.

Have fun and good luck if you do it... IIRC, the C-1 A/E doesn't have removable plate, so working on the hollow body can be a real pain.

i bought it used off a dude who swapped them out, so i am assuming that they are the 4 conductor kind. i just got it yesterday and i am still a little unclear on how it works. the guitar has 2 inputs- one for the electric signal and one for the piezo signal, if that's what you mean.

the knobs seem to do different things for electric and piezo, but maybe i imagined it.

and there is no plates or openings other than the fholes and the battery compartment. i probably wasn't going to attempt it myself because i am scared, i was just wondering if it could be done. i'd take it to a tech for sure.

so i guess eor's wondering:

1- can the buckers be split without ruining anything?
2- can the piezo be put on a switch?
