SRV Signature Strat

I need some opinions here!! I have a 1998 Fender American Standard Jazz bass with maple neck, maple fretboard, and natural finish. I have someone on Craigslist that is willing to trade straight up for a SRV Signature Strat.

Do you think this is a good deal? I'm kinda torn becuase I have had the bass for 11 years, but I'm a guitar player and the SRV is really nice.

Opinions greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Re: SRV Signature Strat

As long as each instrument in in similar condition, sounds like a good trade to me.

If you're a guitar player, you gotta go with wat inspires you as a player.

Re: SRV Signature Strat

Dollar wise, the SRV is worth more.

Make sure you know your stuff about spotting fake Fenders before you swap, though. There are a lot of them on CL.

Re: SRV Signature Strat

If it's a legit SRV Strat (I've seen copies out there that aren't real Fenders but look REALLY close), I'd do the swap bearing the guitar is in good shape and then RUN RUN RUN!!!! LOL. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. LOL.

Re: SRV Signature Strat

Now mind you...I'm partial to anything SRV...so...I'd be all over the SRV myself, but what's the bass mean to you...do you play it...or would you get more "pride & joy" out of the SRV? :cool2:
