hello,
do you know guys if i can order the SSL-1 with the tapped option to use each pickups with a DPDT switch for on/off/hambuker mode ?
how can i order it ?
or that is a tapped pickup that similar to the SSL-1 ?
thanks

A tapped single coil has two different output levels, no humbucker mode. A tapped SSL-1 would be vintage output and even less output.

what about the SSL-5T does it sound like the SSL-1 ?
and why cant i find them on the site to buy ?

Tapped single coils are going to be Shop Floor Custom at minimum, so you can specify where you want the tap. i.e. SSL-5 with an SSL-1 tap. Contact your Authorized Seymour Duncan dealer and ask.

If they can't order it for you, it will be a full blown Custom Shop

There are some single coil sized humbucker options I always forget about. Again, I think if you search you will find these do not split as well as full size humbuckers, but I could be wrong.

Noiseless . The Stacks I referenced earlier will also show here.

some of the hotter duncan single coils can be purchased in tapped versions, like the ssl5t mentioned above. the tap on the ssl5t wont sound exactly like an ssl1 for a variety of reasons, one being the wire used is different so when you get 6.5k worth of #43 (ssl5t) the size and shape of the coil is significantly different than 6.5k of #42 like the ssl1. is the tap a useful sound? sure, if you want a brighter and lower output option than the full output. most people wouldnt find a tapped ssl1 useful since the full output is already pretty bright, like a vintage fender pup should be. if you have a 16k ssl3 which is hot and middy, a tapped version would give you another tonal option

I have an SSL-6t (flat pole SSL-5) in the bridge with two SSL-2s (flat pole SSL-1) in neck and middle. Tapped the SSL-6 gets pretty close to the SSL-2 as far as sound goes, but the output from the pickup while tapped is quite a bit lower, so can be difficult to balance volume-wise.

A tap on an SSL-1 would be very low output, and probably a Custom Shop order. Tapped Quarter Pounds can be ordered from any SD dealer.

You can find them on the site to buy. Go here:
https://www.seymourduncan.com/single..._output=medium
Under the "POSITION" drop-down menu, select "NECK/MIDDLE/BRIDGE - TAPPED".

should i add 3 to the basket if i want a set ?
doesnt the middle needs to be RWRP ? or when it Tapped it doesnt matter ?
thanks

the main goal is to build a pickguard with 3 DPDT mini swiches that every switch control a pickup full/off/tapped
but if i buy three of them , do i get the hum cancelling from pos 2 and 4 ? and the quack strat sound ?

if you want humcancelling, you want the rw/rp middle. doesnt look like there is the option to order a tapped set with rw/rp middle in that menu, im guessing its not a common set.

the tapped neck and bridge should be available there, the rw/rp tapped middle might not be so that would either be through a dealer or you could email/call duncan?
