SSL-1 with 500K pots

Hi!
Does a SSL-1 / SSL-1 / SSL-5 config sounds good with 500K pots?
I know the logic is to use 250K, but i have some 500K in stock, and maybe i don't need to buy more pots...

anyone tryed SSL-1's with 500K (Volume and/or Tone)

I am on the edge to do it this way. I would like to use the 500k volume and tend to take the tone pot only on middle and neck to compensate. My current setup is with 250k volume and no tone pot, but the SSL-5 is still to warm for me and dont use the tone pots at all.
