SSL-5 polarity

Hi,

Would anyone know the polarity of the SSL-5? Is it South pole up?
What is the coil winding direction? Clockwise or counter-clockwise?

I see there is a RW/RP version of this pickup so I need to understand which one can match with my pickups.
I currently have a North pole up clockwise in neck position, South pole up clockwise in middle, and I have the Gilmour toggle switch to get the neck + middle in parallel.
Pretty unusual configuration.

any advice is welcome!

South pole is up. I don't know the winding direction; it doesn't really matter matter. If you have a phase problem, then simply reverse the leads.

thanks a lot! So for my need I would have to go with the RW/RP version.
Side question: do you know why this pickup does not have the leads joining at the center of the base?

Re: SSL-5 polarity

I don't, though it does make the pickup more versatile since it can fit guitars that don't have the extra routing.
