SSL-5 RW/RP on bridge position

Hi everybody,

a friend just gave me a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 pickup. I´d like to put this pickup on the bridge position of my Fender strat, with two Fender Custom ´69 on neck and middle. But, by mistake, he got me the RW/RP middle SSL-5 pickup...

I´d like to know if there´s any problem in installing the RW/RP SSL5 on the bridge position, along with my 69s.

welcome to the forum!

take the ssl5 and see if the top attracts to the top of the middle custom '69 in the middle. if it does you will be fine but may have to flip the hot and ground wires on the duncan

Hi Jeremy, thanks for the welcome!

I´ve tested them and the top of both (SSL5 and ´69) are attracted, so I guess they have reversed polarity.

So, all I have to do is reverse the wiring of the SSL5, right?
