SSL5 custom stagger E,A, poles flat B,E poles raised, is that right ? im wondering if I put it in the right way around, I would have thought the B,E poles would be flat and the E,A poles raised, I could take the pickguard out and make sure the white wire is at the bottom of the pickup, but if anyone knows the stagger it could save me the hassle.

No, that is backwards.

The stagger should be like this, if you're looking towards the neck of the guitar, low E on the left, high E on the right.

Thanks for that info, I will spin it around today, I was changing a piguard and pickups and must of overlooked the orientation.
