Stacked tele & strat versus vintage help

I'm planning a tele project guitar and have been agonizing what kind of pick ups to put in it. The only thing I'm certain of is it will have three pick ups - tele in the lead and rythm with a strat in the middle.

I like the vintage strat and tele tones, but I also like the idea of stacked humbbuckers.

Can anybody tell how they sound compared to each other?

Re: Stacked tele & strat versus vintage help

I currently have SD P90 Stack and Custom Shop Tele Lead Stack pickups in a Fender MIM 60th Anniversary Tele. (Essentially, a Standard Series instrument with a fancy embossed neck anchor plate.) Sounding pretty juicy BUT not entirely true to vintage. Replacing the solid bridge saddles with bent steel types might improve matters.

My favourite compromise between vintage twang and minimal hum and noise is the G&L range of MFD S and T sized single coils.
