Stag Mag cover question

Will the Stag Mag fit in a standard size 12-hole cover? I think the poles should fit. But I'm not sure about the size of the bobbins- are they too big for a regular PAF-sized humbucker cover? And if so, could I maybe fit one in a trem spaced cover?

Re: Stag Mag cover question

I believe they will fit. As far as I know the bobbins are standard humbucker slug bobbins.

Re: Stag Mag cover question

the bobbins are standard humbucker slug bobbins.
Yes, I can confirm the coils being standard humbucker slug bobbins, so yes, a 12-hole cover with a 49.2mm polepiece spread should fit.

Re: Stag Mag cover question

I mounted a StagMag in a regular 6 hole cover to retain the conventional look. Just pushed one set of poles down flush with the bobbin and put tape on the inside of the cover above them so the poles would not directly touch the metal cover. Worked great and the looks are what I was after.
