Stag Mag vs QP SSL-4: HS or HH - Comparisons/Thoughts?

I was looking at the QP in the neck of my strat, which I'd make into an HS (from HSS). I LOVE Demartini's neck tone and I use a Custom8 in the bridge already with a 500k volume and 250k tone.

However, I remembered hearing really good things about the Stag-Mag. I've heard the Demartini is more P90 sound, which I'm fine with, but what if I went with a Stag-mag.

I'd also avoid having to get a three way switch and also worry about hum from the QP, but I'm not really worried about that.

I play hard rock to early and some modern pop metal in a cover band through Splawns.

Thoughts or experiences with both or at least the Stag-Mag?

Thanks!

Well, the StagMag only sounds like a single coil when split, so you'd still need a switch. When both coils are on, it is sort of like a thick humbucker.

I think you'd like the Phat Cat! The cover keeps the noise down. It balances with the C8 well. It has exceptional distorted tone.

And it gets single coil noisy

Thanks, guys. I think I'm just going to go with the QP. Love the tones I'm hearing and if it were a super noisy beast, I'm sure those words would follow it on the forums, but I'm not reading that it is.
