Stage volume box recommendation

Aceman

I am your doctor of love!
Hey guys: My bass "rig" is an Amp SRC-DI.

What would you use for some stage volume? Random amp? Powered speaker? Just go through stage monitors?

I don't need an amp for any kind of epic bass tone. This is on stage with two 50 watt guitar amps using 2x12 cabs

Run through a stage monitor. Keep it simple. As long as it can handle it, that's all you really need.

Re: Stage volume box recommendation

Or if you wanna block out the guitar amps, go direct and use IEMs.

Re: Stage volume box recommendation

I'm going XLR out of my SCR-DI to EV ZLX12P with great success. No fart from the speaker even with the low B.

Re: Stage volume box recommendation

Stage monitors for us, rehearsal monitor is a Mackie thump and his mix just has bass

Re: Stage volume box recommendation

If the band needs to hear it too, you'll need some power. Or one of the newer small, efficient bass combos- very light, and great tone, but $$$.

Re: Stage volume box recommendation

Yah, to balance with two 50W guitar amps you'll need more than just the monitors. Bass frequencies need a fair amount of wattage.
