Stagemaster Lic Floyd Rose Question... Tremolo arm

Hi Guys!

I just got a Squier Stagemaster and I love it! I have a JB and 59 on order and I am pretty geeked to wire them into the guitar. Yes, this will be my first set of SDs....

Here's the thing, the tremolo arm is way loose when being used and can be screwed all the way down to the bridge, essentially where the bridge blocks it from going any further and it is unusable.

I took a look inside and see that the arm hole is.. well.. a hole with nothing at the bottom inside the spring cavity.

Now I see that most floyd type trems have a hex screw at the bottom of the hole that can be adjusted... I have nothing of the sort.

For someone who has a stagemaster V2, could you take a look in your spring cavity and tell me if I may be missing something that attaches to the arm hole from the bottom with a hex screw? If yes, does anyone have any clue where to find one or what it's even called??

If there is just an open hole from one end to the other.. how the heck do I stabilize the arm??

Do you think this might fit?

Thanks in advance,

Can you post some pictures? I have a V1 Stagemaster, but I'm not sure if yours has the same trem.

From my "understanding",most of the open-ended ones have the 2nd collar underneath, like the older Floyds had.
The ones w/the screw on the bottom are generally the threaded top/fingertite type.
Some of the conversion kits barely miss the exact sizing(too small),sometimes the baseplate has to be bored/drilled out a smidgen.
Just my experiences,tho & FWIW mine's a 2000 model,I believe(bolt-on).

I'm going to go ahead and order the Schaller replacement arm and mounting. I read that the hole should be around 9.09 mm to fit the mounting and I pulled the old arm and mounting out and measured the hole.. it seems to be pretty darn close to the same measurement, if not the same.

There is just something wrong with the current arm and it's just easier to replace it. Hopefully it's a close fit or close enough for a dremel to make some fine adjustments!
