I asked Dave Mcpherson from InMe, what pickups do you use in your Gibson SG special? He said "Standard SD's my friend.."...lol, which SD's do you think these are???? The JB and '59???

Ahhh, that's the problem. lol, there's so many models to choose from...What would you say is the "Standard" Seymour Duncan pickup??? I read about the JB alot, it's always the one that gets recommended out of any others. Most of time anyway.....Which SD's do you use?? And what do you like about them??

IMO there is no "Standard", what to recommend depends wholly on the player, equipment, guitar and target tone....

As far as reviews I´d like to point you to the Vault section of this board, where almost every SD pickup is reviewed by multiple members, including myself..... writing a review of each of those pickups would take more time thatn I have available

That SG doesn't come from the factory with Duncans, does it? If so, that could be what he meant - the "standard" OEM Duncans.
I don't think they do, though.
