standard space neck pickup on f spaced guitars

I`v been told that trembuckers are only for bridge position.
The guys recommend that i use a standard spaced in the neck position.
Is this true?

Yes, at the neck position the strings are closer together and standard spaced humbuckers still work fine.

Yes.

The bridge is wider than the nut so the strings are closer together over the neck pickup.

Standard spacing for the neck pickup and on a guitar with Fender bridge spacing, the Trembucker works well for the bridge pickup.

Use two standards on Gibson style guitars though.
