starting studio cash layout

Somebody asked me how much it would cost to buy the equipment necessary to start and run a recording studio. Good question. So, ballpark,how much of an initial cash layout is some one looking at just for equipment to open a decent studio?

Define "decent" including the intended purpose & focus of the studio.

I know a guy building a modest but nice (by all standards) new room just outside of New Hope, PA and he's got something like $60,000 just in construction & materials...

No gear.

Live room is something like 25x25x14 (peak) ceilings, control room, couple iso's... lounge.
