heya
So I'm a pretty long term alt 8 user now . Its got its sound and I really ike it in the particular tele style guitar its in. I had it as a bridge only guitar for a while but I really need a neck sound for certain songs which in this guitar is a single coil .
So I have a quarter pound in the neck at the moment which is suppsoed to be hot and it just cant keep up with the bridge.its lost in volume and its EQ I think . I dont mind its tone with 500k pots and no tone pot as its not very bright but when changing between PU's in a song its just lost and weak .if it had the same tone with more volume I'd be happy. so I'm looking at the tele size neck buckers, as I'm more of a neck HB guy anyway .
The Sthr1n looks like its up to the job volume wise but not sure about its eq. looks pretty mid heavy for a neck for me . I mostly do cleans on the neck so it needs to have a nice fat clean tone . love to hear what any users think of it
or any other tips for evening out the SC and the hot bridge ? I dont want to back off the alt 8 height . Its medium far away from the strings now and I love the level of chunk. don't want to water that down .
