Somebody likes his early Cure songs.
I am also reminded of the vibe from UK New Wave pop hit singles such as Turning Japanese by The Vapors and the songs of Altered Images.* The interlude between 1:01 and 1:20 reminds me of Rush.
* In a good way. Being reminded of Claire Grogan is always good.
EDIT: Starting to think Stereophonics.
EDIt #2: Ten hours later, still thinking Stereophonics. Just cannot pin it down to one song.
