STK-S2 Hot Stack for Strat - Capacitor Question

So just for fun I picked up some Hot Stacks for Strat. The wiring diagram shows a .047uF tone capacitor. Is that the best way to go or might .022 be better? Obviously I can easily experiment but I was interested in hearing about others' experiences with these pickups. I haven't seen too many threads about them.

The lower the number = the warmer the tone

I like .047's, but that's me.

I think 47 nF is useful only for Vintage style Strat and Tele pickups or if you have a real problem, aka a JB.

In any case, if you change nothing else it'll be hard to tell 22 from 47 nF with the pot at "10".

Re: STK-S2 Hot Stack for Strat - Capacitor Question

I tried both and like you said it didn't make much of a difference.

I'm still not sure what to do about the bridge pickup wiring though. With vintage style wiring, (no tone circuit on bridge pickup) I thought the bridge pickup sounded good but maybe a little too bright. I then jumped the bridge to the neck tone circuit, a la modern day Strats. With 250k and .022, I find that this makes the bridge too dark. Should I try a 500k tone pot? Or no load? It's nice to roll down the highs sometimes but I want it to be clear when the tone pot is on "10."
