STK-S4 Wire-to-Pickup

I have a set of STK-S4's for my strat, and the actual wires that come from the pickups are a little rough (and could use a little more length). With these particular pickups, is it safe to desolder the wires from the pickups? I guess what I'm asking is this: On this PU model, are their external contacts on the bottom of the pickup that make the connection with the coils?

if it were me, i would solder extensions on the pups existing wires, seems much safer.

i havent looked at the bottom of a cs+ recently some im not sure about the external contact

I basically have the wires spliced right now. Anyone else familiar with this pickup?

ok i pulled mine out and from what i can tell it "LOOKS" like you could put new wires right off the pup.

be very careful but i think it can be done
