Stock SD1 vs modded SD1 vs Bad Monkey as clean boost/OD...

Right now I have a stock SD1, and I got from Monteallums the SD1 808 Mod Plus! kit for it, http://www.monteallums.com/Product_links.html but I haven't put it on yet. I also have a Bad Monkey ordered that should arrive soon.
I'll be able to try the stock SD1 vs the Bad Monkey, but once the SD1 is modded I won't get back. Basically I want to use either as a boost or overdrive. So what I'd like to know, if anyone can help me, is whether the modded SD1 would be a better boost than the stock SD1 or bad monkey. I.e, which of the 3 would be a better boost and which a better overdrive. The SD1 right now works fine but isn't very transparent, quite brighter than the non boosted sound and a little dull. For the price obviously, I doubt anyone can complain. Anyway thanks for any help!

Not mentioned here buddy,but I use the Duncan Pickup Booster and it's really great for just the clean boost...The other pedals you mention always color your tone somewhat because they are designed as an overdrive first..

I somehow like this coloration, but the stock SD1 just has a little too much of it if you see what I mean. And the SD pup booster is out of my budget anyway... Maybe I'll sell the modded SD1 if the Bad Monkey is that good, but it'd still be too much. Here it's 100 pounds I believe. That's just 180 dollars. But yeah I tried it once and it was a FANTASTIC boost. It sounded 100% transparent too me, it just... added that perfect level of humpf. I loved it.

hehe thanks dude but anything over 44 bucks is over my budget now :laugh2: Even the price of SD1 + Bad Monkey + mods would barely have covered the pup booster here and I want an OD anyway... I appreciate though, really I should be satisfied with what I have.

Ohhh I know I was just calculating using what I already spent and could sell it for. If I got rid of everything I'd still be one OD short was my point, so I'd rather keep it all Thanks again man.
