I just love the tones Dick Wagner & Steve Hunter had on Lou Reed's "Rock And Roll Animal" :32:

According to this excellent feature they were both playing P90-loaded LP Specials at that time.

I want one.

Tease me with those slab-bodied P90-loaded LPs!

Alright, a few new pics, they're pretty good I guess but it was tough not getting any reflections.

It's a '96 Custom Shop '60 DC, it has a nice slim neck in comparison to the current '58 RI's offered by Gibson. It's completely stock although I am often tempted to get a slightly hotter pickup. I believe this one measures around 7.76k, so I was think something around 8.5k would heat things up nicely. I love the simplicity of the guitar.

Hamer Specials. :headbang:  :notworthy

The second and third from the left are older Specials, an '80 and '81. The P90 TV Yellow Special is a '92. The fifth guitar is an Import Special HB model that is even really nice. The others in the shot are Hamer Sunbursts.

Duncan 2N and 2B P90s in this one.

A Schulte Junior of the greatest quality. Duncan 2B in it. Really nice sounding, feeling, and gutsy guitar. :fest7:

Nice! Do you get any intonation issues with the combined bridge/tailpiece thingy?
The B string is ever so slightly sharp with all of the other strings tuned in perfectly. Generally I don't see wraptails as a problem.

Simon, that was a good pair of interviews. It's funny how main artists get all butt hurt when they are upstaged by the talent backing them up.

Someone finally uploaded a (monaural :34:) version of "Intro"/"Sweet Jane" for the ultimate (friendly) guitar duel...

I think JGuttello owns it now, shouldn't have sold it, oh well maybe he'll want to get rid of it it someday. 90 LPS

I also had an 86 singlecut Jr that was likely the best guitar I ever owned. Unfortunately I destroyed it on stage one night. I have ro find some pics of it.
