Stolen Guitar

Frito's Better Half
I posted this awhile back, and I'm doing it again since we seem to have more members, and more folks with the technology to find this peice of artwork.

My great-grandfather made an LP style guitar out of walnut or some simular looking wood (it's been years since I've even seen a pic). Covered humbuckers, standard LP layout, Gibson style headstock, RW board, dot inlays, chrome/nickle hardware, dosnt have anything on the headstock as far as I know. Somewhere on the guitar is has his name, Everett Lofton. Stolen from the Udall, Kansas city museum. He built two, they still have one. Any info or any leads help. My grandfather (his son) said that it was most likely stolen by his brother in law, who is a known drug addict, and he also had easy access to the guitar. Probably pawned for drug money. Anyway, if anyone can help out, that'd be great.

Re: Stolen Guitar

Chances of me seeing it are slim, but If I see an axe that says "Everett Lofton" on it, I´ll LYK ;)

Are they mostly identical? If they have one that's similar and are able to take pics of it it may be in your best interest to post some. It'd be a heck of a lot easier to spot if people know what to look for. Good luck to you, I hope your famiy's work find it's way back home.

This thing was stolen 2 years or so ago. I contacted the museum and asked them to send me some pics of it, since I'm taking an active effort to find the guitar (more than I can say for the Udall PD, the museum, or most of my family). Hopefully I'll have pics soon.
