I picked up a Strabro that has never been installed and I finally have some time to install it in my Strat. I had read some posts about how to wire it tapped so I went to check mine; when I measure the leads, the only readings I get is 7K between the red and white leads, nothing between red or white to black or the ground - is the pickup defective? I thought I better ask before installing it...

Also, the Strat has 250K volume and master tone then a 500K push/pull to tap the Strabro and also be used as a blender - will this setup work OK with the Strabro?

Yeah, it should measure something red-black and red-white. The ground is not connected to either.

Pots are probably fine.

Yeah, I only get a 7.7K reading from red to white, guess I will call Customer Service and see if they can do anything...
