Strange Peavey C30 fade out

i've noticed my C30 can fade in volume from time to time... just seems to get weak sounding suddenly and then returns to normal... i notice sometimes it is right after i really push it with a fuzz pedal for solos, when i turn the pedal off the amp sometimes is weak, then returns back to normal operation... and this fade is on the clean and dirt channels of the amp not just the one...

it has brand new power tubes, but this fade happened on the old tubes too

any ideas?

have you checked the preamp tubes? I'm guessing its the PI, but it could be any of them.

no, i've never changed the pre's... just the powers... i'll try the pre's i have some extras around...

so far have tried different guitars, different cables, taking effects out and plugging straight in, new batteries in every effect when using them... and the amp has been in the shop a few times
