Strange question

Are the old burgundy bass pickup covers from the early eighties an available option from SD these days, I'm just curious if they're available in some capacity, Custom shop, Shop floor custom, Or regular production models.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, I mean these.


I highly doubt they are, But it's worth asking to find out.

That's a pity, that was an awesome color! (IMO)

Your best bet might be to find somebody who stashed away the Burgundy covers after swapping them out for black ones. Try guitar shops and repairers' workshops.

My first SD was a Hot Stack for Strat and came with that color cover. I, too, would like to see it return, especially as a bobbin color option.

Plastic can be recolored with rit dye in boiling water.
