after a long hate hate relashionship with my anderson h3+ on the bridge position of my sx 62 reissue strat, alder body and rosewood neck ,ive decided to go the duncan way(as with all my other guitars).

im after mostly rock (light and clean tones prefered),such as blues ,pop and rock.
Ocasionaly i want to be able to go with full blown drive while retaining the guitar´s inherit qualities.

Ive got a pearly gates trembucker laying around, but heard wonderfull things about the 59 bucker in the bridge of strats.

I need your input on this one guys. Please assist

I'd go with the Pearly Gates. They sound great in strats.

Re: Strat bridge pearly gates vs 59

I would go PG over 59 any day. Does a Strat require a trembucker bridge or is it standard spacing?

Re: Strat bridge pearly gates vs 59

I like the 59 in a strat as long as there is a 59 in the neck. I like that sound. PGs seem to blend better with single coils tho.

the 59er (T59 spacing!) cd be more "round up" sounding und lowers are tighter by a A5 mag.
try both 2nd hand- they are not expensive.

Stop bumping threads that are 7 and 8 years old and posting the same exact thing in every one.

Well I just bought my 1st Strat and this post helped me. I found an old Strat Pearly and now I know its going in the bridge. Please dont turn me into the Zombie police

I don't mind bumping old threads if there is additional info. I do mind the same guy coming in here and his first 6 posts are the same link in multiple threads.

PG's work well in bright woods like Strats. IMO better than they do in warm woods. The low end is tightened up in Strats and they certainly can use the softer highs and fuller mids.
