Strat Humbucker replacement SH-5 mounting problem

I am trying to replace my factory Strat humbucker with an SH-5. The Factory pickup has 2 screws on one side but the SH-5 has one screw centered on each side. I don't want to drill a hole in the pickguard, what ideas do you guys have for this install (short of buying a TB-5 pickup that has the 3 mounting holes.) ?

Unless you can angle the screw so it lines up, drilling a hole is really the only way to go. It's a very minor mod, what do you have against it?

Only thing I have against it is the 2 holes with nothing in them. They look bad and all 3 holes drilled would be very close together and would probably break through.

The holes wouldn't break, it'd be plenty strong enough. I don't think very many people at all would notice, but I'm sure you could find something to plug the holes up with, the end of a plastic fork or something?

You can plug up the holes easily with epoxy resin. Epoxy comes in clear and black colours....And in my experience epoxy can easily be painted..........
