"New strat pickups"
Here I show some of the sounds I'm getting with my strat, a Phat Cat in the bridge and a soapbar from my PRS SE Soapbar II in the neck. 250k tone for neck, 500k for bridge. I direct mounted them both to the body.
For the first couple of riffs, the order of sounds goes neck, bridge, neck+bridge out of phase. Then the riffs play with all three at the same time. When the distortion comes in the PC bridge is doing the rhythm and the soapbar neck is doing lead. The model is Jazz Clean, with Classic Distortion, and a bit of EQ bumping the upper mids.
