Re: Strat pickups in Telecaster?

I have neck and middle strat pickups in my Nashville like Tele. There’s not much to it. I’m not the biggest neck Tele fan. Just think of what you would put on a strat based on your music style.

Re: Strat pickups in Telecaster?

I have a deep dislike for covered tele pickups, and my tele's reflect that. I think that a flat poled strat pickup would work well in a telecaster, although I have an uncovered Zhangbucker Paul Bunyan at the neck of my Thinline and a SM1-b at the neck of my 50's style MIJ tele.

If you *don't* want to swap pickguards, give Zhangbucker a call and get an uncovered neck model from him.

Re: Strat pickups in Telecaster?

Those are all good options, was thinking of some of the SD ones.
Ill take a look, any others? for real clean, big full sound.

Re: Strat pickups in Telecaster?

there are plenty of good options out there depending on what you want. without being more specific about your rig and what you want, its hard to give a better suggestion. with my rig, the ssl2 would be my choice regardless of brand.

I play through fender hot rod deluxe, few pedals, delay, chorus, reverb,
Might be for elvis tribute band, think guitar sound on burning love, that clean.

Re: Strat pickups in Telecaster?

SSL-2 can do that no prob. If you have a particularly snappy/bright guitar, go with a APS-2.
