Strat Rails idea: cool, vintage, vintage?

What do you people think of this idea for a strat, to keep it in the area of vintage tone, but hum-free and full of rich, uncompressed tone. I'm a fingerpicker as much as a pick user, so want maximum response to finger action and minimum compression.

Bridge........Cool Rails
Mid............Vintage Rails
Neck..........Vintage Rails

I didn't like the cool rails at all. Dead, cold.

Hot rails sound great but aren't vintage sounding. But then neither are the cool rails.

HS-3 is a better bet here. Or just stay vintage in the bridge, too, and use a treble booster when needed.
