I would like to change the tone controls on my SSS Stratocaster when I install some new Ants , can this be done ?

1) Remove neck tone pot altogether
2) Tone pot 1 to middle pickup only
3) Tone pot 2 to bridge pickup only

1: Yes
2 & 3: If you do that, you create a problem in Position 2 - where the tone gets darkened because the Middle and Bridge pickups are being loaded down - as each is running through its own tone control.

Recommend instead you rewire so there is just one Master Tone control for the guitar and do something else with the 2nd unused tone pot. Like convert it to a blend control to add in the Neck pickup on Positions 1 and 2. I.e. the Gilmour Mod. You could also yank the unused tone pot and install a 2 way or 3 way switch to do something interesting.

Thanks , great ideas !
My other option was to just wire Tone pot 1 to bridge pickup only since that's really the only pickup I use the tone pot most of the time anyways and just leave Tone pot 2 disconnected .
