Hi, doing a std. Strat. SSS, 1v. 2t., but want the following mods.
Bridge p'up tone enabled and controlled by middle tone knob.
Neck tone pot. .022 cap and mid. tone pot .047 cap.
Anyone have a diagram?
TIA

Re: Strat Wiring

This is not too dissimilar to a regular SSS strat. You just separate out the caps to work on individual pots rather than the same cap working both with the connection between the two tone pot lugs.
There is also a small bridging wire needed on the switch - connecting the lug that has the bridge signal to the lug that has the middle tone pot wire.

Re: Strat Wiring

If I understood it right. It'll work like AlexR stated.

But note that Nec + Middle combo would have both caps enabled, becoming most likely unusably dark...

That is correct. I prefer to have a tone for bridge alone and share one for neck and middle

Re: Strat Wiring

Notice on the standard strat wiring how the tones are witred to the back two lugs on the switch? The back one is neck and next one is middle. Take the wire fron the 2nd lug and move it to the 3rd...thats the bridges lug. Then jumper the 1st two lugs together..those are neck and middle.

No, this is not the case. Each pickup has its own tone control and cap.....this would be the same as a LP, and the middle combo doesn't have this.
