Gibby Studio Plus Desert Burst and a Godin LG SP-90s
LIFE IS GOOD! :cool2:

I'd play the blonde one the most! Looks like a real screamer!

And, that desert burst is nice! That's probably the best top
I've seen on a Studio Plus. I also like the P-90 Godin.
Looks like you've got all the bases covered......well, except for
the Marshall, unless you're strictly a Fender amp man.

Any wife that encourages and is enthusiastic about your other pursuits rocks. Kudos ...

Godin - Canadian Pride ;)

And the top on the Gibby is Shweet!

3 fine examples. Ha ha. Which one do you like the best?(out of the guitars) What are the duncans like on the godin?

Thanks fellas. Yeah Shes the finest guitar stand available today!
(No that doesn't mean SHE'S available! Ya have to get your own model!)
Both guitars are unique. I can't really say I prefer either. In my hands they both feel great. (Yes, and the guitar stand too.)
Personaly I'm a Strat lover and feel most at home with an SRV necked Strat in my hands but like anything else (except my guitar stand) you get bored with them. The variety breeds musical creativity I think.

That studio is beautiful! I like that it doesnt have binding, I think it would take your eyes away from that flame. Nice choices all around.

Thanks Hoss,
Kyle and tito the Godin really did impress me too. It has the feel like the child from a Strat/LP marraige. The neck is very stratlike but wider with more finger room. And the SP-90s sound really great. Really Spanky! Its a very Bluesy soundin guitar.

OK - now that we have got the guitars out of the way let's talk about the wife!! Is that a standard, de-luxe, custom built job, does it take a lot of maintenance, does it have to be well polished, handled with care and every now and then be exposed to extreme sunshine. Does it only foster well in warm and sunny climes and does it need to be put into a special case at night!!

Seriously the guitars are lovely and interesting what you say about the Godin's and the SP-90's in them, I have not been enthusiastic about them but that's personal preference. The Gibby is really nice in that colour in a understated way.

thats a great description of a godin, the child of a strat and a lp,

its really true, every godin ive played (including my own) can do both LP and strat tones, to about 95 %, but it cant nail down either one to 100% (if that makes sense?) its closer to nailing lp tone tho. the neck is also sort of a cross, and the body is more a tele-paul, but whatever.....

how does that godin sound through the Junoir, the Deville? by the way, which amp do you like better

sweet axes, and if anything ever happens to the godin, they are a great companyto deal with, i messed my trem up (totally my fault), gave them a call, and they not only sent my the replacement parts (trem posts) free, they paid for shipping, and paid the shop to set up the guitar again.....

Man thats good to hear. Good description. It really has Its own personality I feel.

The amps are both sweet. I like em. I might consider the tweed type mods I read about for the Jr but I'm not seriously unhappy with the stock sound. I generally dont crank it very hard. The Deville Rocks for Blues. I guess thats what it was intended for and it probably does mild warm overdrive best. Heavy distortion is probably not its best venue. If I played more of that style I would probably lean toward Marshalls. When playing heavy overdrive I've always liked the sound of a friends Marshal best.
