String spacing problem on an OLP MM4 Silhouette

I own a OLP MM4 Music Man Silhouette copy and i have a small problem regarding the neck and middle pickup. The string spacing does'nt fit with the Alnico pole pieces. The bridge humbucker fits perfectly. It measures 2" spacing. On the neck position the spacing is 1,9" so the polepieces are offset. This causes a significant drop of volume on the lower and especially the high e string. It seems as if the stock pickups for neck and middle have a spacing normally used for a Strat Bridge Pup.
I like the sound of those pickups... they're comparable with SSL1 types but the drop on the high e string is annoying. :earl:

On the SD-Page I could not find the spacing of the polepieces of the SD SSL1 or the noiseless STK-S1. If that spacing is approx. 1.9" (~48mm) all my probs would be solved.
Rails Pups would be the easiest way... but do they sound like vintage SCs ???

i think the vintage rails might be a good solution to the problem, has a strat type sound with the rails you need for the wider string spacing at the end of the neck. pretty sure the ssl and stk are gonna be too narrow

My problem is, that the current spacing of the strings is too narrow for the pickups. The polepieces have 2" spacing and the string 1,9" spacing in height of the neck Pup. O.K Rails will do it anyway, but i want to know, which spacing a SSL or STK-S1 has got (measured from center to center of the outer polepieces). After i've read some user reviews at harmonycentral.com, i believe it seems to be a common problem. Seems to be that the Pups have a kind of FR-spacing, but that vintage tremolo is not wider than a hardtail brigde.
