String thru body or stopbar tailpeice?

Re: String thru body or stopbar tailpeice?

There has been loads of threads like this earlier.

But to give my short opinion, i think that string-trough-body brigdes tend to give the axe a fatter, but deader tone. Whereas stop tailpieces tend to produce lower string tension, less lows\mids and more treble.

Just my 2c.

I am of the opinion that I have no opinion. :D

I like them all.

string-through on a neck-through..........stopbar on a bolt-on

Dosent matter to me! This falls in the realm of one of the recent threads called, "Set neck, neck through, bolt on".

If the guitar sounds good, I dont care! I have played stop bars that have sounded good and bad and the same goes for string throughs!

+1 Dave! I would have to agree that it doesn't matter so long as the guitar sounds great and has what you want.

That said I like my string-through Ibanez, but I could probably like a stoptail just as easily.
