Stubborn Thinline Tele, so hard to bend!

I'm no technician, but I don't think the answer is the string gauge (10's).

Thinline so much harder to bend than Squire Strat :(

What could it be?

Re: Stubborn Thinline Tele, so hard to bend!

Tension at the truss rod. Get an alllen wrench and turn it to the left about a half turn and see if that helps.

EDIT: Looking down the neck from the headstock turn it to the left.

Re: Stubborn Thinline Tele, so hard to bend!

Are they both the same scale length and do they both have all six tuners on one side? Other than those I can only think of a possible difference in neck radius as cause.

Re: Stubborn Thinline Tele, so hard to bend!

They have far different bridges.

Apart from that, two similar guitars with two similar setups can feel very different. I have no idea why, but they can. That's just the way it is.

Re: Stubborn Thinline Tele, so hard to bend!

10s are not all that heavy and are pretty easy to bend with. You probably need an adjustment somewhere else. Or grow a pair ;)

Re: Stubborn Thinline Tele, so hard to bend!

Is your strat style trem floating? This sometimes make it fell like it has more give.

Re: Stubborn Thinline Tele, so hard to bend!

All great advice ya'll.
Sam string gauge...neck radius feels the same (very flat) a good suggestion. I only thought of it asfterwards...
Mexican Squire Strat (1994)
Thinline Tele Reissue (2010)
Truss Rod adjustment not thought of...will have to take it back to the technician/luthier

Might have to drop down the gauge (There's no way guitar gods like Zakk Wylde Eric Johnson and EVH never had hand pain in their careers!) 'Cause man...strings do NOT want to give on this baby!
Great tone though with Wide Range pups...very round useable tones even with Tone rolled off all the way. Wondering if Tone Styler would even be an upgrade?

Re: Stubborn Thinline Tele, so hard to bend!

Also, no floating Bridge, and both asre actually screwed down to prevent any intonation shifts from bending.
