... does the Duncan Custom Shop (or anyone) make a single-coil sized pickup with P-90-style screws (6 fillisters?) in the middle, instead of Alnico bar magnets? I certainly can't find such a pup on the main SD website or anywhere else on the Net...

P-90's still use bar magnets like humbuckers, the screws are magnetized by these magnets. Duncan makes the phat cat, GFS you can get the Dream 90 and Mean 90, and there are numerous other companies with options like this.

He means one that could directly replace a Strat pu. The Stratbro is the closest thing to that.

The Strabro seems EXACTLY like what I'm looking for... :werd: ... hard find good pics of it anywhere though. Custom $hop model = mucho buck$? Might have to wait on that. It will going in this gee-tar...

... sorry... cell camera pic.. not my workbench either. Grayscale done on purpose... not that it's a "special" color (guitar is also gray) but because I like B&W pics... and my tech's workbench is a bit icky too...:grumble:
