I am about to begin my third guitar and second Tele build. I have this cool solid ash body from stewmac. I have decided to go with tinted nitrocellulose lacquer and am looking for suggestions. In the post pics of your blue, green purple guitar thread I saw some outstanding green tinted tele's.

I had considered going with just a clear tint, but then I am going to end up with a duplicate of my Am Std hand rubbed ash tele and now I think a color tint is going to be best.

I recently finished this pine knotted body blank and used vintage amber tint with a Tele hot rails in the bridge and a STK3 in the neck. This turned out to be a really cool guitar and is my current #1 fave but I want a new color for this next body. I used a mighty mite birds eye maple neck and finished that in a very light coat of vinyl sealer and nitro lacquer for a super fast neck. It also has fender chrome locking tuners and a gotoh bridge.

On a side note where are all of you other builders getting your lacquer? I think I have found the best price for behlen lacquers at http://www.woodfinishersstore.com/. They also have better prices on water and lacquer based tints.
