Suggested bridge pickup

Hey everybody, GREETINGS...
This is my first post and I am in need of advice? PLEASE!!
I have recently started trying to build and hot rod guitars.
ZERO electronic skills but a strong wood working background.
Here is my situation, being new and with no real world skills I am at a loss to match a pickup I have acquired.
I have a Chervell body and a Paddle board 4&2 neck I laid out and cut.
I'm still looking for a Tremelo bridge BUT....I have a 10.2 K Alembic active pick up (Tele style) and a Seymour Duncan pre amp harness that I was told would power everything?
In a perfect world what I am looking for is an active split coil bridge pick to go with/match up sound wise to the Alembic 10.2 Telecaster type Alembic neck pick up?
I got it for $40.00 on Ebay...I was the only bidder.
I am in need of suggestions based on experience. I fully understand sound as a subjective conundrum with multiple OPINIONS.
I am stuck on this one. I have accumulated ALOT of unneeded parts in the garage in my past builds. I can not continue to PI** money off ? I need to hit the first time on this one.
Split coil? Maybe/maybe not?
Thanks in advance

Re: Suggested bridge pickup

Welcome to the forum.

In your position, I would begin by soldering together the Alembic Tele neck/rhythm pickup and SD wiring harness. Connect a 9v battery and test the whole shebang by dangling the pickup over the vibrating strings of another guitar and amplifying the result.

Make certain that the Alembic pickup works. Also, form some idea of how it sounds. This should aid your selection process for the bridge/treble pickup.

Geez, how did I miss that? Logic sometimes escapes me?
Excellent suggestion. Hard to believe a zillion dollar pick up could possiblly be defective when I got it for $40.00.....duh
I got a project going together in a week or so....I will sub in the Alembic temporaryly....I havent heard it yet:eyecrazy: This should be fun!!
Many THX
