Suggestion for Books on Amp Building

I am interested in some books or videos on amp building(effects as well).

Not only do I want to learn how to build, I want to learn the science behind it.

What kits are best?

Any suggestions would be a great help.

+1 the Dave Hunter Guitar Amp Handbook.
I even built the Princeton clone in the last chapter.

how is that two stroke? i started collecting parts for it but havent done much besides get the transformers and caps/resistors. i got some huge mercury iron for it :)

the dave hunter book is good and gerald weber has three good books out about tube amps, i dont agree with everything he says when it comes to tone but there is lots of knowledge to be found.

Nice. I say do it.
It's a simple circuit and an easy build.

I'm digging it.
I built it as a head running into a 212 with Celestions, Classic and V-30, not the combo and I put in two power tube sockets.

Next on the list is an 18 watter.

You disagreed with Weber or Hunter?
I thought that for what he was aiming for, he hit it right on the nose.

I'd love to hear this amp with a TMB stack just to see if the tone suffers like he thinks it would.
