Hello!
Basswood Ibanez Destroyer, maple neck, rosewood board
Guitar will be in either D standard or C# standard
Genres include rich full body clean on the neck to heavy crunch punch u in the face heavy rock riffing on the bridge (i will go into detail for each pickup)
Amps: for cleans i use a Marshall Class 5 then a Tubescreamer for rock n roll
For crunch i play a Dark Terror then for heavy crunch i hit my Zakk Wylde OD (love this pedal for aggressive rock)
Currently playing it thru my friends 4x10 marshall cab but soon will be getting my 2x12 (V30 and G12H30) back from my old place
For modern metal i play a Krankestein Jr 50w thru the 2x12.
I want to reiterate that i am completely open to mag swapping and doing hybrids, just please explain in detail why u picked what mag and/or what hybrid.
I am in no rush so i would love to hear billions of options!
I can explain whos artists tone i like but lets talk before we get into that
Neck pickup: for cleans i like full bodied cleans and when the mids and trebles cranked a little it gets a little spanky. Neck will also be used for leads during OD etc. i love the way the Air Norton on my Iceman handles OD for leads and same with the 59n in my Ibby semi hollow (yes i am an Ibanez guy haha). The AN has this awesome smooth shred tone. And the 59 is somewhat similar just much fatter.
I am not a shredder by any means but i do enjoy my fast solos and sweeps. Im pretty bad at tapping but i use it every now and then during a lead or solo
Bridge: i rarely use my bridge for cleans. I only use it for light OD to balls to wall heavy OD. The bridge will be used for leads on the bottom 4 strings and main riffs for rock and heavy rock riffing. I like playing aggressive rock. Note Clarity when im playing medium to high gain is very important to me
Initial thoughts and curiosities: i am very interested in the screamin demon in both positions. A hybrid with an A4 or A5 in the neck and the hex coil with something else in the bridge with an A8 or ceramic sounds kinda cool on paper
I will be coil splitting both
