Suggestions for HSS, well...the SS part

Hey guys,

Got some ideas swimmin' around in my head, though this was one rough week.
I've currently got a Screamin' Demon in the neck of my Gibson, and though I like it i want more of a "neck-humbucker"-tone. The Demon however is an awesome piece of work so I was thinking about getting a guitar for it. The guitar will have a maple body with a figured maple cap, maple neck-thru design (graphite reinforced) and string-thru-body design. I was playing my strat yesterday after a very long time, and I fell in love with the cleans again, so pure, defined and bell-like I love it! But I want a humcancelling sc for this axe.

I also couldn't find a Maple bodied, HHS guitar (which are hard to find as it is!), and a good neck humbucker to aid my needs. So I want a single-sized-humbucker in the middle (S), and a humcancelling single coil in the neck.

This has to be the ultimate lead/shred axe, but also good for some chunky rhythms (George Lynch!). The Demon covers this, but the other two have to be shreddy too! Modern is prefered, but I guess I can't get around vintage for the cleanest tone. Because the Demon is superclean, I want both singles to have at least as good clean ups. The middle position has to have a lot of output (not more than the Demon ofcourse), very good for leads, chunky, great harmonics. The neck has to be ultra-clean, good leads, harmonics prefered and shouldn't be shy to medium-hi gain rhythms.

I'm willing to look into the DiMarzio line, but Duncans are just fine too.

Thanks

JBjr & Lil59 should get you the results your looking for, good luck.

Maple-body HHS? I think ESP's Stephen Carpenter signature guitars are in HHS config with maple bodies on some of 'em...check 'em out.

I think a JBJr would be right for you, probably for the neck as it does clean up pretty nicely, i use mine for jazz cleans and it sounds pretty good to my ears. As far as the middle goes, id get a cool rails for there. Something a bit different but it would give you lots of versatility and just what youre looking for i think.
