Suhr Aldrich neck pickup in the bridge position?

Anyone here ever try this? The Aldrich bridge is a cool pickup, but at 17.5k it's too hot to my ears. The neck comes in at a comfortable 9k according to the Suhr site.

I've read a few times that it's just an SSV bridge pickup. Why not just go for the standard SSV Bridge?
