Hi

First post... I'm crapping my pants.

I've been lurking around here for a couple of days to find a matching neck pickup for a Full Shred bridg pickup (and found nothing, probably due to me).

The guitar that will house this combo is a RGA121, mahogany ibanez.

What do you guys think will match up the bridge pick up.

If there already exist a thread that handles this, could you please point me at the right direction!?

Thanx in advance

why not a Full Shred neck pickup (SH-10n)?

Or even better than the previous 2 posts...put another Full Shred bridge in the neck spot. You will love it, I promise! I have that exact set-up in my Jackson...screams!

welcome! well, what kind of sound are you looking for exactly? i also think a full shred neck would go well with your bridge model, but ya know...

Yea, I'd throw 2 Full Shreds in her. If your looking for that wide sound on Solo's, put a Neck Version, if you want a bit more output, go with the Bridge Version.

I'm obviously looking for "that" sound that'll make both eyeballs and speaker cones pop out:eyecrazy:

So far I only had my eyes on the TB-10 'cus I think they will fit my kind of style and gear.

I would opt for a jazz. I find the FS neck bland and thus, Dimarzio like.

Re: suitable neck pickups to a full shred bridge pickups

That's exactly why I prefer the FS neck to the Jazz Neck by a long shot. The Full Shreds sound more "Dimarzio" to me, which is a good thing, but they have the "tone" of Duncans, so it's a best of both worlds situation for me. For shreddy leads, I haven't found better. Sweeps, licks, picking, everything rings out like bells so clearly yet always smooth and never harsh.

But I dunno...

Is the sh-10 (both B & N) really my best choice?

I have already tried the sh-6 but didn't like it. Maybe due to the guitar, Ibanez S2170SE ... I sold that one because It was not a good ax, unfortunately with the DD still on board..

I give it a go. If I don't like (I think i gonna) I'll sell it. Or swap magnets, which is the highest fashion around here. :scratchch

Absolutely! One of the best neck pickups I've played, if not the best ! I still can't believe how toneful and thick it can be while still being precise and clear. Seymour did a great job on those Full Shreds !

Get the SH-10n. It's KILLER.
